Traction Electrical Services – Support Continues

While Traction Electrical Services is no longer in operation, the expertise and support live on through Battery Technologies.

About

A Legacy of Innovation in Charger Technology & Support

For decades, Traction Electrical Services led the way in charger repair and refurbishment for forklifts and airport equipment. Traction Electrics was known for its Titan2000 charger, rugged airport-ready models, and unmatched repair expertise.

Sadly, Traction Electrical Services has now closed. However, we’re proud to continue supporting customers who relied on Traction’s chargers and service.

Pete Jenkins, former charger specialist at Traction Electrical Services, now works with Battery Technologies, carrying forward the repair and refurbishment work for Traction Electrics products.

Continued Expertise

“I developed my charger repair skills over 22 years working as the lead electronics engineer at Traction Electrical Services.

I repaired printed circuit boards and, in some cases, carried out R&D work to redesign electronics. We successfully designed and manufactured waterproof chargers for GSE and forklift rental fleets. Some of my products found their way onto aircraft carriers for the Royal Navy.

I designed microprocessor-based control systems using CAD software and developed my knowledge of programming languages, which we are using at Battery Technologies to design battery and charger monitoring systems. So watch this space!”

Carrying the Legacy Forward

“40 years ago, when I joined the battery industry, there was only 1 company that everyone used for forklift battery chargers, and that was Traction Electrical Services.

Known for their expertise in everything related to battery chargers, they were the go-to for charger control boards, fuses, switches, and a completely rebuilt charger. In addition, they produced a range of plastic-bodied chargers for the forklift rental market and waterproof models for airports across the UK. The Titan2000 charger was the pride of the business, with chargers still used in airports for ground support equipment today.”
